This album only contains animal photos. Not surprisingly, and despite being very careful with my selections, the images are very much    biased towards five species, namely Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and, to a lesser degree, Buffalo. I've kept all these core species together, but have mixed them up a bit to make the set more interesting. The second part of the album features a good number of photos of most of the other animals I've seen on safari. The associated comments appended to each photo are generally pretty brief as all the details about the species, including information about their classification, are provided under two comprehensive articles in the 'species' section of the website - "East African Safari Animals : (1) Carnivores and (2) Ungulates - which can be accessed directly from these

links, and for convenience will open in a separate browser window so that the information can be referenced when viewing the photos.

These articles list all the mammal species I've seen and photographed in East Africa, which are far more than featured in this album.

The following thumbnails expand when clicked. You can then scroll through the images in either the 'standard view', or an alternative 'compact view' (via the info button) if you wish to see where the photo was taken and read about the encounter and/or the species.

Whilst my albums are optimised for viewing on a desktop monitor or larger laptop, there is an optional 'full screen' mode for tablets or notebooks. But, please note that if you do use this mode on a smaller device, the top and/or bottom of some photos may

be clipped, and if you leave your curser over the image the navigation overlay backgrounds may be visible.
